Community Development Network (CDN) is a community based non-governmental organization. It was founded by community volunteer in year 2006 and registered in year 2008 with voluntary social welfare agencies (registration & control) ordinance 1961.

To strive for socio-economic uplift of under-privileged communities through participation and stakeholder collaboration towards sustainable development.
A local community volunteer effort in year 2006 embarked upon to address the girls’ education issues in Warah District Kamber shahdad kot, Sindh. This volunteer initiative took structured shape of CDN. Between years 2006-2008, CDN opened and managed 25 girls’ community schools, in partnership with Sindh Education Foundation (SEF). Later, in year 2008, it got registered and with the support of Trust for Voluntary Organization (TVO) expanded its programs to women and child health issues. During the flood emergency response in year 2010 and 2022, CDN provided relief items, created awareness on community health & hygiene, mother & child health, protection of children, women elderly and person with disabilities.
Education is the core service CDN has focused on since its inception. CDN currently manages a network of 32 educational intuitions (including primary, middle and high schools) where 1880 children (boys 1034, girls 846) are acquiring quality education. It has formed village education committees, provided trainings to 384 teachers.
Over the last 14 years, CDN has worked with its targeted communities in District Kambar Shahdadkot and Malir (Karachi) in its integrated activities spanning to education, health, WASH and emergency response programs.
CDN is working with Women, Children, Youth, Persons with Disabilities and other Health Vulnerabilities, Farmers/Peasants and Religious Minority. It enjoys good working relations with government, donors and development partners.

Education sectors have remained a target point of working for CDN since inception of the organization. CDN adapts to strategic approach in the sectors, which incorporates logistic and technical support to government and private sector schools as well. The organizational aim is to make schools child friendly.CDN has partnered with Sindh Education Foundation (SEF), in IELP, PPRS, SAS and FAS programs and established 32 private schools, from primary to high school level, in hard areas of the district Kambar Shadadkot. With SEF support, CDN is operating 17 private schools including 01 High school, 6 Middle Schools, 10 Primary, Warah , Kambar shadkot .In these school’s 1880 students (1034 Boys & 846 Girls) are studding.
CDN conducted awareness programs for women; CDN Conduct women’s land rights & gender based violence Activities in District Kamber shahdad kot- Sindh with the collaboration of sewa Development Trust; CDN organized human rights awareness sessions in the communities; organized assemblies and dialogues for promotion of human rights with focus on women rights.
CDN, in 2007 to 2011 organized training and capacity building program for teachers and volunteers. Under these 6 monthly and yearly training program 132 teachers and volunteers get knowledge of new learning methods and skills.
DN remained instrumental during the floods of 2010 and 2022. CDN mobilized its resources through volunteers & executive members collected donations, and collaborated with humanitarian agencies to provide relief to flood affected people in District Kambar Shadadkot. In 2010 flood response CDN , Distribution of Food Baskets to 200 Family, and covered 1638 population ; Distribution of Soap Distribution Bladder, jerry con and Aqua Tab to 2198 families and covered 14567 population ; Multipurpose Soaps Distribution to 1345 families & 7642 Population is Covered ; Wash Soaps Distribution to 1968 families & 9872 Population Covered. In flood response 2022, CDN conducted assessment in affected areas and, distributed NFIs to 3000 families with the kind support of IOM
